About Our Co-Chairs
Dr. Timothy Forde, Chief Diversity Officer & Special Assistant to the Executive Vice President
Dr. Timothy Forde received his bachelor’s degree from Oakwood University, his MPH degree from the School of Public Health, University of Alabama at Birmingham, and his Ph.D. degree from Vanderbilt University. Dr. Forde has over 15 years of experience working with students and teachers including designing summer STEM camps for underrepresented minorities, providing diversity and inclusive excellence workshops for K -12 teachers and developing internships and fellowships for minority undergraduate and graduate students at federal research laboratories. Dr. Forde’s research interests include the use of cultural competent instructional strategies in the classroom and using emerging instructional technologies to nurture higher order skill development. Dr. Forde also is a faculty member in the School of Education here at EKU. His hobbies include playing the piano, racquetball and cycling.
